This is an ideal class to help you reduce stress and increase steadiness in the body and mind. This class will incorporate breathing, meditation and wellness techniques to improve sleep, concentration, and reduce anxiety. Will work on standing poses to build a sense of stability, strength and grounding in the physical and emotional body. The class includes longer held stretches to increase flexibility through safe gentle movements. Please join us to increase your overall well being and deepen your yoga practice beyond the physical body.

Vinyasa Flow

Tuesday

Start your day with energy and focus.

Vinyasa yoga symbolizes a flowing, dynamic form of yoga, where postures are linked together using breath. Start your day right by energizing your body and focusing your mind. Ease into it with five minutes of gentle stretching before awakening your body with sun salutations, standing poses, side bends and enlivening backbends. Emphasize breath, movement and transitions instead of sustaining long holds.

Strong and Steady Flow 

Wednesday
8:00 - 9:00 pm 

As an alignment-centered class, we move through poses with intention, not speed, in order to connect our bodies with breath. You'll have time and space to observe your inner landscape and listen to your body's feedback. A key focus will be placed on alignment and muscle integration to build strength and stamina. These learnings will enable you to be more conscious in your daily life; supporting a healthy, active lifestyle.

Taking it slow can deliver dramatic and immediate results - a sculpted physique and greater mental focus. This slow burn yoga will develop lean muscle and challenge your body and mind. You will leave feeing stronger, taller and more aligned with your authentic self.

Yoga for Core & Functional Strength

Wednesday
9:30 - 10:30 am

In this class you will be guided through functional training exercises to develop long and lean muscle tone, core strength, balance and stability. Functional strength will increase muscle endurance, improve your yoga practice, reinforce and facilitate healthy movement patterns required in daily life.

Although this will be a full body conditioning class, we will pay particular attention to parts of the body that tend to be weak/underutilized due to modern-day lifestyle. We will focus on strengthening the mid-back muscle to release tension in the neck and upper back; we will focus on strengthening the glutes to release tension in the lower back, hips, and knees; we will also focus on awakening our deep core muscles (TVA) to increase hip stability, athletic performance and pelvic floor strength.

Class format : 1/3 FLOW yoga to warm the body & 2/3 training for core and functional strength (format may vary slightly).  

We will use resistance bands, our own body weight and other props for our training. We will also integrate pilates inspired exercises for core and spinal strength. 

Resistance bands are highly effective at increasing total body strength, improving circulation and increasing flexibility and range of motion. I love resistance bands for their effectiveness and because they're safe and accessible for all fitness levels. Bands come in light, medium, and heavy resistance. I have purchased a few varieties so you can choose a resistance level that meets your body's goals and needs.

Flow and Restore

Thursday
9:30-10:30 am

Become mesmerized for the first half of the class in a smooth and balancing flow. Through breath and movement we will build heat and the muscles will become primed for the second half of the class where we will slow down and delve deep into longer held yin style stretches to unwind and restore. After a long savasana, reawaken to a new body and a fresh perspective.
